Soccer Recap: Riverbend Academy Has No Trouble Against Eastland Christian

Riverbend Academy barely beat Eastland Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors put the hurt on the Hurricanes with a sharp 10-2 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Riverbend Academy, who have now won eight games by four goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Eastland Christian from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. James Rogers led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

The victory made it two in a row for Riverbend Academy and bumps their season record up to 9-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those two contests. As for Eastland Christian, they dropped their record down to 5-7-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Riverbend Academy will take on The Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverbend Academy's defense better be ready for this one: The Rock have averaged an impressive 4.7 goals per game this season. Eastland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
