Volleyball Recap: Wilmington Christian Academy Comes Up Short

If Wilmington Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Heide Trask on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots came up short against the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs on Friday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12, 25-16.

Wake Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Evann Curry, who had nine digs and six aces.

Wilmington Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Wilmington Christian Academy will take on Heide Trask in a tournament on Saturday. As for Wake Christian Academy, they will square off against Garner at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
