After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Central, McCook Central/Montrose was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Garretson Blue Dragons by a score of 3-1. The game was the first time the Fighting Cougars have beaten the Blue Dragons on their court since September 8, 2022.

McCook Central/Montrose was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 17-25, 25-19, 25-14.

Despite the loss, Garretson still got an impressive performance from Alyssa Garcia, who had nine digs and one assist.

McCook Central/Montrose's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Garretson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

McCook Central/Montrose will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lennox at 7:00 p.m. As for Garretson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Hills-Beaver Creek on the 16th.
