Volleyball Recap: Ansley/Litchfield Comes Up Short

Ansley/Litchfield entered their matchup against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Spartans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Ansley/Litchfield was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly three points. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Kiera Bailey and Asia Lyon, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Caydence Feldman and her 12 assists.

Ansley/Litchfield's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Ansley/Litchfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Mullen on the 27th. As for Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against North Central on the 27th.
