Baseball Game Preview: Lexington Minutemen vs. LeRoy Panthers

For the second straight game, Lexington will face off against LeRoy. The Minutemen will square off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Lexington easily dispatched Olympia on Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Minutemen fell just short of LeRoy by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. The Minutemen's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

For LeRoy's part, the team relied heavily on Jack Bogema, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Braeden Fox was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The victory was the third in a row for LeRoy, bringing their record up to 19-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.
