It was a good run, but The Villages Charter unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the St. Petersburg Green Devils by a score of 2-1.

Despite the defeat, The Villages Charter saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Anastasia Harding had nine digs and two aces.

The Villages Charter's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for St. Petersburg, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Coming up, The Villages Charter will head out on the road to face off against Montverde Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Petersburg, they will host Osceola at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
