Basketball Recap: Jefferson Beats Whitehall/Harrison/Willow Creek for Their Second Straight Victory

If Whitehall/Harrison/Willow Creek wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Jefferson, they should've done a better job of containing Tyler Frydenlund. The Jefferson Panthers claimed a resounding 75-42 win over Whitehall/Harrison/Willow Creek thanks in part to Frydenlund, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in shooting accuracy (75%).

Tyson Lee was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds. He also posted a block, marking his first of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Jefferson and bumps their season record up to 10-6. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 36.2% in those games and 27.7% outside of them. As for Whitehall/Harrison/Willow Creek, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will take on Broadwater at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Whitehall/Harrison/Willow Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
