Volleyball Recap: Syracuse's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Syracuse not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since October 24, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Beatrice Orangemen with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Rockets were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Orangemen, so the Rockets were just returning the favor.

Syracuse walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20, 25-12.

Their offense was headlined by Audrey Liesemeyer and Tatumn Walters, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Ava Mohr and her 27 assists. Brandy Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Kiley Hatcliff and Kara Schuster certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Hatcliff had 15 digs, while Schuster had ten digs.

Syracuse's victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Beatrice, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

Syracuse didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Conestoga on the 23rd. Beatrice has also already played their next match (against Wahoo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
