Fans got a thrill when Kyle DeLong and Nick Wotton connected against Central Catholic. The connection was good for 90 yards, the longest such play in Corn Belt this season.

Prairie Central was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fifth in the league. The Hawks beat Olympia 27-26 earlier in the week.

Arion Worthman threw for 141 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Brett Segobiano was the best running back in the league this week. In 26 carries, he ran for 155 yards as the Saints topped Pontiac. Kellen Kiley also contributed to the rushing game with 15 yards on the ground.

On the heels of Joe Kenney and Tyler Francisco, Mahomet-Seymour has had great success on offense. Kenney leads the league in passing with 969 yards, while Francisco has rushed for 665 yards this season. Central Catholic's Hartema leads the league in receiving yards with 434 on 23 catches.

A big matchup in Corn Belt this week will be when University takes on the Indians. The Pioneers are currently in first, while Pontiac is in third.

University added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Eureka/Roanoke-Benson, 48-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
