Softball Recap: Phillips Comes Up Short

Phillips came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the McDonell Central Macks, falling 11-1. The matchup marked the Loggers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Phillips saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trinity Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Phillips' defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for McDonell Central, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Coming up, Phillips will square off against Athens at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McDonell Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bloomer at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
