Anderson Carey leads a balanced attack to beat Galloway

Recap: Walker Wolverines vs. Galloway Scots

Even though the Galloway Scots scored an imposing 57 points on Monday, the Walker Wolverines still came out on top. Walker walked away with a 68-57 victory over Galloway. Given Walker's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Galloway is ranked 418th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Walker's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anderson Carey, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Carey continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Moustapha Diop, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Galloway lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Vaughn Murphy, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and three steals. Grant Patrick was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.

The victory makes it two in a row for Walker and bumps their season record up to 12-6. As for Galloway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walker will face off against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Galloway, they will head out on the road to square off against Mount Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
