Soccer Game Preview: Otsego vs. Sturgis + How To Watch

The Otsego Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Sturgis Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Otsego has given up an average of 3.8 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Otsego came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to Paw Paw. While losing is never fun, Otsego can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 346th, while Paw Paw are ranked 125th).

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Sturgis was forced to settle for a draw. They and Plainwell finished up their match with a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Otsego has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's still a better percentage than their 2-9-2 record this season. Sturgis' draw makes their record 8-5-1 this season.

Otsego might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Sturgis in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
