Volleyball Recap: Beatrice Takes a Loss

Beatrice extended their losing streak to eight on Saturday, dropping them down to 4-16. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westview Wolverines. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Orangemen of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Emma Peterson paced Beatrice's offense, picking up seven kills. Peterson got some help from Kiley Hatcliff and her 20 assists. Claire Trusty controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

As for Westview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since August 28th.

Among those leading the charge was Kambry Kachaturian, who had ten digs and two aces.

Beatrice wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Arlington on the 4th. As for Westview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against York on the 4th.
