Softball Recap: Dayton Comes Up Short

Dayton lost against Sunnyside Christian back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs fell 7-4 to the Knights. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cindi Howard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Sara Cranmer was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Sunnyside Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Dayton nor Sunnyside Christian have any future games scheduled.
