Football Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short at Home Against Central Valley

Riverside unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Central Valley Cougars and fell 44-0. The Chargers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Lincoln Nekoliczak had an outrageously good game for Central Valley as he rushed for 75 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Those 75 rushing yards gave Nekoliczak a new career-high.

Coming up, Riverside is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Twin Loup at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Valley, they will take on West Holt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
