Curtis Field and Connor Field provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Haddam-Killingworth. The connection went for 60 yards, the longest such play in Pequot - West this season.

Lewis Mills lost to Gilbert-Northwestern Regional 44-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Lucas Lanning was a bright spot for the Spartans, as he threw for 66 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 45 yards in the loss.

Field threw for 272 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 10-15 with 0 interceptions.

Tony Ortiz was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 190 yards on 17 carries as the Yellowjackets bested the Cougars. Teammate John Lippincott added to the ground attack by rushing for 49 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Bears' Field and Field have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-4 quarterback Field has thrown for 750 yards this season, while Field has 13 catches for 307 yards. Ortiz from Gilbert-Northwestern Regional leads the league in rushing with 707 yards.

Granby Memorial made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,153 from 12,592. The improvement was largely due to a 42-22 victory over Haddam-Killingworth last week.
