Basketball Game Preview: Ripley Vikings vs. PikeView Panthers

The Ripley Vikings will take on the PikeView Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ripley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Ripley didn't have too much trouble with Riverside as they won 72-54. The Vikings pushed the score to 50-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors cut but never quite recovered from.

Matthew Stellato had a dynamite game for Ripley, going 6-for-10 from beyond the arc to rack up 20 points. The dominant performance gave Stellato a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Doss, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 13 points.

Meanwhile, PikeView hadn't done well against Bluefield recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. PikeView snuck past Bluefield with a 51-46 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Ripley's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. As for PikeView, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.
