Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Longmont

Longmont won the last time they faced Mead and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mavericks, sneaking past 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since May 3, 2025.

The team relied heavily on Nikolai Hansen, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Michael Bustamante was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Longmont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2025.

The victory (which was Longmont's third in a row) raised their record to 9-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Mead, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.
