Basketball Recap: Bishop McDevitt Comes Up Short

Bishop McDevitt was the 71-49 winner over Big Spring when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Bishop McDevitt Crusaders took a blow against the Big Spring Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 91-62.

Despite the loss, Bishop McDevitt still got an impressive performance from Damir Arp, who went 10 of 21 to rack up 29 points in addition to six assists and six boards. The dominant performance gave Arp a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Patrick Denisco, who went 5 for 12 en route to 15 points.

Bishop McDevitt has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Big Spring, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Bishop McDevitt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-49 defeat against Susquehanna Township on the 31st. As for Big Spring, they have also already played their next contest, a 60-43 victory against Boiling Springs on the 31st.
