Recap: Speedway Sparkplugs vs. Cascade Cadets

After a string of four wins, the Speedway Sparkplugs's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cascade. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Speedway in their matchups with Cascade: they've now lost three in a row.

Speedway lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Daniella Galvez, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five assists. Galvez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex DeLisle, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Speedway's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Cascade, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Speedway will face off against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cascade, they will take on Monrovia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monrovia is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
