Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Austin walked away with it. They blew past the James Clemens Jets 10-2 on Saturday. The Black Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 contests by six runs or more this season.
Callie Lang spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Arden Breedlove was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyndi Perkins, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Austin has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 36-15-1 record this season.
