Basketball Recap: School of the Woods Comes Up Short

School of the Woods played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Cornerstone Christian Academy, falling 43-5. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 22-1.

Leah Salvatierra was School of the Woods' leading scorer, having posted three points. Salvatierra also led the team in rebounds with three.

School of the Woods' loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Humble Christian the next time they take the court. Cornerstone Christian Academy will host Humble Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while School of the Woods will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
