Millikan is 8-1 against Lakewood since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Millikan will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakewood at 5:30 p.m.

Last Thursday, Millikan didn't have quite enough to beat Woodrow Wilson and fell 3-2.

Millikan actually scored more points across those five sets (106-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 17-25, 12-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Lakewood got the win against Cabrillo on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won four in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lakewood was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-11.

Lakewood's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Millikan, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-10.
