Softball Recap: Elizabeth Forward Has No Trouble Against Oakland Catholic

While Elizabeth Forward put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Oakland Catholic. The Warriors put the hurt on Oakland Catholic with a sharp 15-0 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.

Julia Resnik was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Elizabeth Forward got a massive performance out of Berlyn Holibaugh, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Holibaugh's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Addison Musisko, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Elizabeth Forward was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .700. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Elizabeth Forward is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Oakland Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
