Football Recap: Centerville Comes Up Short at Home Against Lakota East

Centerville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 35-20 to the Lakota East Thunderhawks. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Elks came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Thunderhawks are ranked 132nd).

Looking ahead, Centerville is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against St. Xavier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakota East, they will welcome Oak Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
