Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Thursday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Luke Cuellar's Rushing Yards a New Career-High

Starting off the list is Thomas Jefferson's Luke Cuellar, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Thursday Cuellar rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 135 yards on only ten passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 68 yards.

The win snapped Thomas Jefferson's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-4 record. They and Aurora Central are set to duel on Saturday.

Dwyer Made His Presence Known in George Washington's 28-0 Victory

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Hayes Dwyer stepped things up a notch to give George Washington the 'W'. Dwyer was dynamite, rushing for 89 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, while also throwing for 147 yards on 11 of 19 attempts.

Unfortunately for Aurora Central, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Dwyer. When Dwyer last faced the Trojans back in September of 2023, he threw for 247 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes.

Sean Lindegren put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Thursday. He rushed for 31 yards and two touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending a pass.

For the year, Lindegren has averaged 6.7 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 0.86 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 6.14 rushing yards.
