Justin Garza put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Caruthers Blue Raiders with a sharp 11-1 victory. While the Guardians didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Gracie Uribe was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Leya Rayas was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. She also brought in three RBI, marking her first of the season. Riley Nason was another key player, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4.

Justin Garza pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Caruthers, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Justin Garza didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-2 victory against Immanuel on the 22nd. As for Caruthers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Dos Palos on the 22nd.
