Softball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison and Surry Central squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Madison had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 8-7. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2016.

Addie Sams was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three runs. Maddie Gosnell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.

Madison now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Surry Central, they moved to 8-13 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Madison nor the Golden Eagles have any future games scheduled.
