Softball Game Preview: East Hickman County Eagles vs. Creek Wood Red Hawks

East Hickman County fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Harpeth on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 6-4.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Creek Wood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Sycamore an 11-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Red Hawks in their matchups with the War Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Creek Wood got a massive performance out of Addison Howell, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI Howell has posted over her last seven contests. Lilly Killebrew was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Creek Wood hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in seven consecutive games.

East Hickman County's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Creek Wood, their win bumped their record up to 18-11.
