Cannon Turner made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cole Helton was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Purvis' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Greene County, their victory bumped their record up to 19-11.
