Preview: Stanberry Bulldogs vs. St. Joseph Christian Lions
After two games on the road, Stanberry is heading back home. After both having extra time off, the Stanberry Bulldogs and the St. Joseph Christian Lions will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Stanberry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 512th, while St. Joseph Christian is ranked 110th).
Last Friday, Stanberry opened the new year with a less-than-successful 63-51 loss to Worth County.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Christian put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 79-58 margin over Albany. The victory was nothing new for St. Joseph Christian as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Stanberry's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-8. As for St. Joseph Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.
Stanberry opened the new year with a less-than-successful 75-68 defeat to St. Joseph Christian. Can Stanberry avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
