Volleyball Recap: Twelve Bridges Extends Winning Streak to Five

Twelve Bridges waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Del Campo Cougars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

While Twelve Bridges won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-22.

Melad Nawrooz paced Twelve Bridges' offense, picking up ten kills. Nawrooz got some help from JP Racela and his 19 assists. Carlos Lopez-Santiago and Wyatt Flannery kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Twelve Bridges' victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11. As for Del Campo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.

As of now, neither Twelve Bridges nor Del Campo have any future games scheduled.
