Volleyball Recap: Walker Comes Up Short

Walker lost against St. Michael back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0.

Walker was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 25-22.

When it comes to explaining why Walker lost, don't look at Lily Vetter. Despite the final result, she had 18 digs and two aces. Vetter is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Walker's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for St. Michael, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walker will host Ascension Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Michael, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Central at 4:00 p.m.
