Volleyball Recap: Lake George Lakers vs. Corinth Riverhawks

There's no place like home for Lake George, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Corinth Riverhawks on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Lake George walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-21.

Lake George can attribute much of their success to Brooklyn Cornell, who had nine digs and one assist. That's the most digs Cornell has posted since back in September.

Lake George was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Corinth only served nine.

Despite the loss, Corinth saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addy Cook had 24 digs and three aces.

With the victory, Lake George broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 6-9. As for Corinth, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
