Panther Creek put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Southern Wake Academy Lions by a score of 55-46. This was payback for the Catamounts, who suffered a 62-51 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Zy'Vaun Puckett had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double with 14 points and 14 boards. Camden Hill was another key player, shooting 42% from the field on his way to 10 points and six rebounds.

Panther Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern Wake Academy only posted seven.

Southern Wake Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kobe Plata, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 13 points. Plata is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Tony Lopez, who posted 17 points and three steals.

Panther Creek's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Southern Wake Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Panther Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-74 victory against Leesville Road on the 24th. As for Southern Wake Academy, they will face off against St. David's at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
