Volleyball Recap: Columbus Falls Despite Big Games from Avery Bloebaum and Emersyn Jaeger

Columbus lost against Kearney two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Discoverers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearcats.

Emersyn Jaeger and Avery Bloebaum certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Jaeger had 11 digs and two aces, while Bloebaum had eight assists and four digs.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Kearney, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Columbus is set to take on their familiar foe Lincoln High on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kearney will challenge rival Lincoln East on Tuesday.
