Mumford waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Silsbee Tigers.

Keegan Kleiber paced Mumford's offense, picking up 16 kills. Kleiber got some help from Ashlen Sloan and her 21 assists. Sloan and Kleiber didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Mumford's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Silsbee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-3 record this season.

Mumford will take on Navasota at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Silsbee, they will head out on the road to face off against Hardin-Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
