The IMG Academy Ascenders will head out to take on the DME Academy - at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in IMG Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.

IMG Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Montverde Academy, who was ranked first at the time (IMG Academy was ranked third). IMG Academy fell 65-57 to Montverde Academy on Wednesday. It was the first time this season that the Ascenders let down their fans at home.

DME Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 55-41 bruising from Montverde Academy on Tuesday.

DME Academy suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 24-8. As for IMG Academy, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 16-4.

IMG Academy took their victory against DME Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 60-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for IMG Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
