Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Chayton Vaughan and Chett Vaughan Lead Cumby to Victory

Cumby hadn't done well against Como-Pickton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Cumby Trojans strolled past the Como-Pickton Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 68-49. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cumby was led to victory by Chett Vaughan and Chayton Vaughan. Chett went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points, while Chayton went 7 of 11 on his way to 16 points along with six assists and three steals. Chett's evening made it 23 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. MontgoMery BENTON was another key player, putting up eight points.

Cumby now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Como-Pickton, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

Cumby will host Boles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cumby is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season. As for Como-Pickton, they will head out to take on Pioneer Tech & Arts Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
