Soccer Recap: Payette Comes Up Short

Payette was the 1-0 winner over Fruitland when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.

Arthur Zambom and Keller King scored all three of Payette's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Payette's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fruitland, their win bumped their record up to 2-0-1.

Payette didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Columbia on the 6th. As for Fruitland, they are taking a road trip to take on Parma at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Parma's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
