Basketball Preview: Canterbury Crusaders vs. Southeast Seminoles
The Canterbury Crusaders and the Southeast Seminoles will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Southeast took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Canterbury, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Canterbury needed a bit of extra time to put away Lakeside Christian. They walked away with a 62-55 victory over the Lions. The Crusaders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Canterbury can attribute much of their success to Myriah Harrison, who went 14 of 29 on her way to 39 points and seven steals, and Zy Alhuzaifi, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 boards. Alhuzaifi is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Southeast took a blow against Manatee on Tuesday, falling 50-11. The Seminoles haven't had much luck with the Hurricanes recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The win got Canterbury back to even at 2-2. As for Southeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
