Recap: Braden River Pirates vs. Wildwood Wildcats
The Braden River Pirates had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down Wildwood 45-28.
It was another big night for Yahshua Edwards, who rushed for 211 yards and five touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Braden River's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Wildwood's QB won't forget Storm Hense anytime soon given Hense sacked him four times.
Despite the loss, Wildwood still got an impressive performance from Alan Means, who threw for 371 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Dallas Isham also helped out as he racked up 134 receiving yards.
Braden River now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Wildwood, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Braden River will head out on the road to face off against Robinson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Robinson will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Wildwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
