Soccer Game Preview: Estero vs. Naples

For the first time this season, Estero will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to face off against the Naples Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Estero is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.

Estero had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the ten-goal drubbing they dealt South Fort Myers last Tuesday. The Wildcats' defense stepped up to hand the Wolfpack a 10-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Megan Danielson as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Naples was a bit more limited in their match last Thursday. They fell just short of Barron Collier by a score of 2-1. Naples haven't had much luck with Barron Collier recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Naples' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Estero, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1-1.

Estero suffered a grim 5-2 defeat to Naples in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
