Basketball Recap: Vincent Memorial Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Vincent Memorial lost to La Jolla back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Vincent Memorial Scots came out on top against the La Jolla Vikings by a score of 67-60. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scots.

Despite the loss, La Jolla still got an impressive performance from Brody Sessa, who posted 24 points and three steals. Those 24 points gave Sessa a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lance Braga, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Vincent Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for La Jolla, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-2.

Coincidentally, Vincent Memorial and La Jolla will both be playing Army-Navy the next time they take the court. La Jolla will host Army-Navy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Vincent Memorial will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
