While Vernon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 26-24.
The victory snapped Vernon's losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-20 record. As for Bowie, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-17.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vernon will square off against City View at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Vernon is facing City View at the right time seeing as City View is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
