Basketball Recap: Pinelands Regional Takes a Loss

On Wednesday, the Pinelands Regional Wildcats ended up a good deal behind the Red Bank Regional Bucs and lost 60-41. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Bucs are ranked 26th).

Pinelands Regional has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. The victory (which was Red Bank Regional's third in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Pinelands Regional and Red Bank Regional are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Pinelands Regional will take on Winslow Township on February 26th. As for Red Bank Regional, they will square off against Matawan Regional on February 26th.
