Football Game Preview: Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates vs. Independence/Gilmanton Indees

Cochrane-Fountain City has gone 8-1 against Independence/Gilmanton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pirates are taking a road trip to square off against the Indees at 7:00 p.m. Cochrane-Fountain City is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Cochrane-Fountain City's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Eleva-Strum 42-0. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 33 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Independence/Gilmanton had to suffer through a 49-12 loss at the hands of Blair-Taylor. The Indees haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Although Independence/Gilmanton took the loss, they still got scores from Payton Hovey and Preston Solberg.

Independence/Gilmanton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cochrane-Fountain City, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Everything came up roses for Cochrane-Fountain City against Independence/Gilmanton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 46-0 victory. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Indees have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
