Summit Charter Collegiate Academy had lost eight games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-9-1 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Granite Hills Grizzlies. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Grizzlies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Valentin Sierra was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Maddox, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

As for Granite Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. Their loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

On Granite Hills' side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhyan Vinson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Summit Charter Collegiate Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-5 victory against Orosi on the 8th. As for Granite Hills, they have also already played their next game, a 13-0 defeat against Lindsay on the 8th.
