Volleyball Recap: Taylorville's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Taylorville came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Lutheran Crusaders by a score of 2-0.

Taylorville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brogan Anderson, who had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces Anderson has posted since back in September. Ryan Prince was another key player, getting ten assists and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Taylorville was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive matches.

Taylorville's win bumped their record up to 26-5. As for Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-22 record this season.

Coincidentally, Taylorville and Lutheran will both be playing North Greene the next time they take the court. The Tornadoes will head out to face the Spartans at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, while the Crusaders will play them later in the day, at 1:15 p.m.
