Volleyball Recap: Wethersfield Takes a Loss

Wethersfield extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-3. They came up short against the Farmington River Hawks, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

As for Farmington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. That three set margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Leading Farmington to victory were Callie Zadrozny and Gaby Muneton-Salazar. Zadrozny had 13 digs and four aces, while Muneton-Salazar had 12 digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Muneton-Salazar a new career-high.

Coming up, Wethersfield will host Bristol Eastern at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Farmington, they are taking a road trip to take on South Windsor at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
